Being hurt by an intimate partner or spouse can be a very confusing and traumatizing experience for survivors of domestic abuse.

Domestic violence is a choice on the part of the abuser, but certain underlying factors might sometimes contribute to a person’s propensity for abuse, which are.

1. Childhood experience: Most of the children that have witness violent parent have a high risk of abusing their partner in future. When a child witness from his young age how his father abuse his mother then he feels it’s a proper way and then grow into it as well.

2. Intake of hard drugs: We should understand that the in take of hard drugs is bad for the physical and mental health. Someone who have abused drug tend to misbehave, in this process see his or her partner as nothing.

3. Alcoholism: Just like the intake of hard drugs, a pattern who is all sunk in alcohol can abuse his or her partner. This can lead to the ongoing pattern of abusive behavior by one partner. Alcoholism can lead to the formation of patterns, and if it is not controlled in time, it can lead to a constant need to maintain and control the relationship by the partner affected by the vice.

4. Lack of trust: Trust is needed in a relationship and with out this the relationship will collapse. When a man or a woman is suspicious of the act of his partner and do not trust them, they range all the time and abuse their partner.

5. Unemployment: When a man is unemployed and doesn’t make money he becomes frustrated, he can take the frustration out in his partner and that’s how abuse starts.
