On Monday, we took the message of Sexual Abuse Prevention to another school, and the silence was broken again.
We defined it. Unmasked the red flags. Shattered the shame.Because no child should carry the weight of abuse in silence.
What started as awareness turned into something much deeper, a cry for help. One brave student found the courage to open up. She’s being sexually abused, not by a stranger in the dark, but by someone within her supposed place of safety: the son of a respected church member.
She detailed how he smooches her, fondles her breasts, and touches her in ways that violate her body and soul.
She’s too scared to speak, because her father is the church pastor.
“They won’t believe me,” she said. So, she kept it hidden alone, ashamed and silenced, but she chose to tell us and we will not keep silent. This is not a misunderstanding, this is not teenage mischief, this is sexual abuse.
Let’s get it clear that no title, be it influence, pastor’s son, or church worker, can clean the stain of assault.
At CEAF, we stand where many turn away. We are taking immediate steps because protecting abusers under the guise of church member or faith, family members, or fear is the reason this cycle keeps spinning.
It ends here. It ends now.
