Black Monday in Oron: RCCG Pastor Allegedly Kills Wife Over Infidelity Suspicion

Tragedy struck in Oron, Akwa Ibom State, as a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Victor Okoh, allegedly killed his wife, Victoria Okoh, in a brutal machete attack over suspicions of infidelity.

The horrific incident, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, sent shockwaves through the community. Neighbors, alarmed by the distressing scene, alerted the police, who arrived at the couple’s residence around 5:20 AM. Officers discovered Victoria’s lifeless, mutilated body outside their home.

In an attempt to evade capture, Victor Okoh reportedly hid in the ceiling but was swiftly arrested by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command. The weapon used in the attack has been recovered, and the victim’s body has been taken to the General Hospital Morgue for autopsy as investigations continue.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, condemned the act, reaffirming the command’s commitment to justice. He urged the public to seek peaceful conflict resolution and report signs of domestic violence before they escalate into tragedies.
