Report on our School Outreach Program.
Introduction
On Wednesday, 9th of October, 2024, the Comfort Empowerment and Advocacy Foundation (CEAF), an NGO committed to combating domestic violence, sexual abuse, child marriage, gender-based violence, and all forms of abuse, conducted a school outreach program. The goal was to educate students on sexual abuse and its prevention.

Program Overview
Upon arrival, our team set up equipment in about 30 minutes. After the school’s fellowship, we were given the opportunity to address the students. The atmosphere was positive, with both teachers and students being welcoming and attentive.
Presentations
Introduction by Angela: Angela introduced CEAF, explained the purpose of our visit, and discussed our mission to combat violence in all forms.
She emphasized that the day’s topic was focused on sexual abuse and its prevention.
-Main Presentation by Mr. Eze: Mr. Eze gave a detailed talk on sexual abuse, its signs, and preventive measures. The students actively engaged and paid close attention throughout the presentation.
Student Engagement
After the presentation, we engaged the students by asking questions about what they had learned. Several students responded correctly, and we rewarded them with gifts. We also presented gifts to the school in appreciation of their cooperation.

Second School Drive

The following week, we conducted a second school outreach. The format was similar:
-Angela introduced our organization and the focus of the talk.
-Mr. Eze spoke to the students about “sexual abuse”, how to identify it, and preventive measures.
The students participated by answering questions and received gifts as a reward for their engagement. The school expressed their gratitude and presented us with a token of ₦10,000.
In conclusion
The outreach was successful, with both schools showing great enthusiasm and appreciation. The students demonstrated a strong understanding of the material, and the schools’ hospitality made the event even more impactful.
