Suspended Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has taken her case against Senate President Godswill Akpabio to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) at the United Nations in New York.
By bringing this matter to an international platform, she seeks justice, accountability, and global intervention in addressing sexual harassment, gender-based discrimination, and political intimidation against women in leadership. The IPU, a body dedicated to protecting the rights of parliamentarians worldwide, will now examine the case.
CEAF’s Stand
At Comfort Empowerment and Advocacy Foundation (CEAF), we stand firmly against all forms of sexual harassment, gender-based violence, and political suppression. Women in leadership should not face intimidation for speaking up or claiming their rightful space.
We support every effort to hold perpetrators accountable, amplify women’s voices, and create a safe, inclusive society where women can lead without fear of oppression. Justice must prevail. Women’s voices must be heard.
